How to start a company

A new app and responsive website to serve as a guide for people starting a business and deciding a business structure.

The Project

The problem:

Resolve the problem of a lack of a simple guide for new and young entrepreneurs looking to start a company.

The goal:

Make a usable system for teaching the correct type of corporate structure for specific situations.

My role:

Lead UX designer

Responsibilities:

User research, wireframing, prototyping, etc.

Understanding the user

User research: summary

Research goals: Figure out if the new app will have a positive impact for customers.

● We had the following key questions to answer:

  1. How long will it take for users to complete the flow?

  2. How can we improve our information and material?

  3. Do we have any issues with the flow and material?

● Five participants completed an order on their own. After completion they answered a questionnaire.

● It was an unmoderated usability study.

● KPIs: time on task, user error rates and system usability scale (SUS)

Takeaways

Impact:

It was a positive change and we hope to keep improving it.

What I learned:

This project showed us one more time the importance of feedback. We are very thankful for the goodwill and assistance provided by our users and peers.

Next steps

1.

Complete a third usability study in order to review our latest changes.

2.

If needed, make changes after the completion of the usability study.
